2008 Primary School Competition was held at the Blacklords Fencing Club
on 20 September. It was a successful and enjoyable day with around 60
athletes participating and 150 people in attendance, making it was the
biggest of any fencing competition in Victoria this year. In the
primary school competition around 40 entries were logged and it was a
close fought battle in the final between the teams from The Patch
Primary School of the Patch and St Joseph's
Primary School of Blackrock. The Patch achieved victory in the end by
27 to 24 . Our Blacklords local team gained valuable
experience in there first competition. Everything ran
smoothly and the canteen organisers (Kate, Loraine, Julie Y, Julie E)
did a fantastic job.
The final of the inaugural Blacklords/MFC Cup was postponed with Blacklords A and B to a fight off for the Cup at a later date. 15 Sept - Competition update The past 6 weeks have seen some more great performances from Blacklords fencers highlighting the talent that is developing in our Junior brigade.
